I have never bred any snakes before and was never really planning on it to begin with. My female corn snake is old enough to breed and my male yellow rat snake should be big enough next year to breed,if not definately the year after. Right now the Corn is about 3 1/2 feet and I doubt she is getting any bigger, she was that size when I got her from a friend and about 2 1/2 years old..she is now 3 1/2 years old or so...small adult corn. My male yellow rat is only 1 1/2 years old but is almost 46 inches long but is no where near as thick as the female corn but he is getting thicker by the day and his head is also starting to fatten and widen up...
Anyway my corn is an Anery/Motley and het for some other stuff...I forget what though!! What would the offspring look like if she was breed to my Yellow Rat? Is it hard getting these two snakes to breed? I would imagine not since they are both really rat snakes correct?? Do you think I should maybe just get a male corn/female yellow rat or a female cali king and stick in species???
