Mealworms and germs?

chameleoncrow Jul 16, 2003 11:13 PM

Hi, i have been keeping mealworms in my refrigerator for a while now. A thought just recently crossed my mind. Is it safe to keep mealworms in the refrigerator, with all out human food? Aren't the ygerms and bacteria or whatever? I bet most herpers keep mealworms in their fridge. what do you all think about this?

Why worry about it?? Our fridges and everything else are already full of bacteria's and spores, fungii.. etc. but....there's really very little risk if you keep them in a tightly sealed container with ventilation...
