is playing dead something toads do when they want you to leave them alone? i was changing my toads paper towel & checking on his sores (no, we still havent been to the vet, he hasnt been in yet this week when i can make it) & this time he opened his mouth a little bit (hes been doing that a lot this week,) laid down, froze his legs & closed his eyes like he was swallowing. i actually hought he was dead, but after about 2 minutes he opened his eyes again, but stayed laying down. i put him back in the box, but i didnt get the paper towel cleaned & now im afraid to touch him. im getting him to the vet as soon as humanly possible, but can i risk moving him, or do they play dead, because hes never done that to me before, so i was hoping maybe he just wanted me to go away. help please...

help with sick toad

now shes really yellow, & wont even stand up, just lays there. if it wasnt 11:20 at night id be on the way to the vet right now. help, im desperate...
i got up at 7 this morning to get ready to get to the vet at 9 before work this morning (no appt, no idea if the vet would even be there, i figured something was better than nothing,) & she died sometime after i went to bed last night.
I'm sorry for your loss. I'm new to these boards (the toad boards at least) but I know how it is to lose a pet. =(
