Vision Problems

Jake_Jackson Aug 10, 2005 08:55 PM

I have a female Hi Yellow which I purchased from Petco, and she seems to have a hard time striking the mealies. She isn't a hatchling, I know because she is a lot bigger than the Blizzard gecko I recently brought.

Anyway, she strikes, but doesn't 'hit' the target. Occasionally she'll miss all together! More than once. and other times she appears hesitant... Where as the Blizzard instantly hits the target everytime...

Any opinions?

Our oldest male does the same thing. He always has. As such he can't eat crickets since he can't catch them. We and the vet think it is depth perception. he eats mealies, misses sometimes, hits others but in the end he eats them all. I have found the secret to be a small bowl which makes it harder for him to hit anything but worms. He is fat and seems happy. It's worked for 5 years so I think your girl will be okay.
