hi, i have 2 ultra pastel res's. people online r charging alot for them. i was told that pastels r only casued by high temperatures. is this true, and if i breed a ultr pastel with another ultra pastel will they produce pastels?
im very confused please help, these r beautiful turtles, is it only caused by temps? i have pics but dont know how to post them, here is the link where my buddy got them from. i have the exact one in the pic!!

They are made by adusting the temp during incubation. Breeding two pastels together will make normal turtles.

by adjusting the temp during incuabtion, will that hurt them in any health way. r they still just like normal res, just with a different color shell. and what temps would i need to start at and then increase or decrease to get these pastels? i wouldnt mind having more they r very beautiful.
thanks ahead

I have over 100 pastels and it seems like if the temperature had anything to do with making a pastel, that there would be alot more of them. You would think that breeders would try to hatch more of the high dollar turtles. This is just what I think.
