Well...I have....(For all you Hednricks fans out there I couldnt resist.
In all honesty, keeping a BCI isnt much more difficult than keeping ball pythons, and in the case of wild caught ball pythons it is a LOT easier in my opinion. They will eventually need much larger quarters to be housed in, and larger prey items, and a diffrent temp gradient than ball pythons.
Its well worth it. . . .
Read as much as you can on the snake, set up its housing well in ADVANCE of getting the snake and interact and interface with as many breeders as you can of this particular snake. I would not recommend BCC(Surinams, Guyanans, Trinidads etc) to some one just starting out with boas. Also, make sure you have a source of food that is either close and local or far away and RELIABLE so that you can get the appropriate sized rodents for each stage of the boas growth.
