trying to find out what this snake is...sort of looks like its froma sci-fi movie

Wow, I can't believe this pic is STILL making the rounds on Kingsnake.com. The specimen is an african rock python (Python sebae). I believe it was killed after striking the fence ... which was electric.

Was not found in Iraq, but on a game farm in Africa. Had just swallowed an inpalla, and was tring to get back out. Try going to snopes.com to get the full story.

yes love all those great rivers in iraq , this snake is really the stunt double for the snake in aticondas and is training in afica for the 3rd instalment when a sneaky poperotsy clicked him flossing his teeth

I have the feeling that this picture is going to resurface every ten days for the next year. Bummer though that may be, it is a rather spectacular picture of a well fed African rock python. Just to make it fun, the next time lets all say that it's a Iraqi death adder, that just ate a farmer!

Thanks, I searched a few sites to match the photo, and foudn nothing until I searched for african rock python. I informed all the people copied in the initial message this was a hoax. Hopefully the real message will keep this from propogating further.
