Can I use a UTH with a rubbermaid or do i need to use heat tape?

Just make sure you use styrofoam under the cage: heating element goes on top of styro. Tape down with Aluminum Tape. My 2 cents worth.

There are lots of thermostats on the market now. Alot of the cheap tstats will fail quickly and are really not worth the extra few bucks saved.. Below are some link to my site on the tstat compairisions... Hope this helps,
