im new to ball pythons, so taking my frineds advice i got a few "normal" females to raise up fro a year or so before i buy a pastel male. these are them. i think they look nice and are not your garden variety aka petco balls.

thnx to tony for hooking me up with these!

are those "pets"? if so you might want to lose the hemostats for handeling them. they will calm down easier i beleive with direct contact, besides they are little their bites wont even hurt. (i dont think adult balls hurt, but that is ompare to other kinds of snakes.) just some friendly advise....nice lokin snakes though, best of luck.

Deal

p.s. they are very addictive.
p.s. again. do you plan on "test breeding" these before you get the pastel? m/f ratios?

i dont handle them with those. i use it to put mice in my other snakes cages. its there for size comparison.

If I had it to do all over, I would do exactly what you are. Of course I would buy about 20 normal females though. Some will not be great eaters and once you get them to 1500 grams, you'll know which you want to keep for breeders and which to sell to someone desperate for a girl with some size.

The light colored female is perfect for a pastel project. Keep her happy at all costs.

Good luck,

. . . is a great guy to buy your snakes from. I bought a pair of lemon pastels from him last fall and they are doing great. Here is the female. She's over 940 grams now (up from 106 grams when I bought her in November)
