My male is a breeding machine, but only with one female. He doesn't hardly pay any attention to the other female. She is 18 months old and about 275 grams. Do the give off any certain scent when they are sexually mature? I can't figure him out.

Move the female that is being bred.
If he only has one to choose from he should do her too.
Or maybe he is a faithful male? Never knew beardies had any morals though?
Hey there,
I think beardies can have preferences when it comes to 'partners'. My male pays no attention to two of my three females. He couldn't care less about little Tinkerbell ... But when it comes to the others, he's all stud, and his beard flares out, etc.
I don't think it's unnatural. I believe all living things have preferences ... His just seems to be a female!

Hi, I have had a rather similar situation but with one of my females. I have not yet bred any of my dragons I am still trying to pair off the adults. My oldest female definately had a preference for the youngest of my males. He is larger than the older male and a tiger morph. She only tolerates the older of the two and will not raise her hand for him. She even goes as far as to ignore his head bobs, she has bit at him and goes to the far side of the tank. Needless to say I removed him quickly and put him back in his own cage. While with Tiger she answers his head bobs and will come up and lick him on the stout, and they bask together. I think I have found a pair now, he seems to agree with her choice, the older one will just have to wait. I am glad I have an incubator ready now.... Good luck J
