Sexual Maturity on Australian Water Dragons

-i_heart_herps- Aug 12, 2005 05:35 PM

I have 3 baby Australian water dragons and I am not sure when they reach sexual maturity. Also at what age do the males start to develope the red on their chest? One more thing, if u put miner-all on every one of the water dragons meals would you still need a flourescent UV bulb?

I believe they reach sexual maturity at 18-24 months. Could be wrong, but thats when the chinese water dragon does. Also, yes you do need uvb bulb because it produces D3 and helps them have stron bones to prevent metabolic bone disease. Also you do not want to feed vitamins, and calicum every day because that can result in an over dosage of it. Hipe it helps
