As most of you most likely know I am going to breed my dragons in the next 6 months, but before I do I wanted to make sure I got all the right supplies. Does anyone know where I can buy a cheap scale to check their weights?

You can buy really cheap scales on ebay

You can buy scales at just about anyplace that sells kitchen supplies. Walmart, Home Depot, any speciallity kitchen store (ie Stokes). They range from about $10 to $20 for most of the non digital scales..haven't found any digital scales in my area so don't know their price ranges. I bought one for around $20 that has a fair sized tray ontop where i can place my bearded dragon and most of the time..he just sits there.

You can also go the ebay route but it only means you have to wait a few weeks or more to get the one you want. (ie waiting for auction to end, hope you don't get over bid at the last minute, then contacting the selling, sending payment, having him ship it, waiting for it to arrive..could be a month before you get it).

I have a digital food scale that was 30$ at Walmart. I've weighed a 950 gram snake on it, so it could handle a beardie. The only thing is that you have to use a rubbermaid instead of the cup that comes with it. As an added bonus, you can find out what the caloric content of your pets would be if they were made out of pork.
