uni's are pipping this morning.......

dan felice Jul 17, 2003 05:09 AM

and it is day 117. this year's batch took almost 2 weeks longer than previous clutches due to an excessively cool/wet spring here in the northeast i'm guessing. the 'stained' eggs are being shredded as well as they were only 'scented' a few days back. more later........

CONGRATS!!!
Hope they are all in perfect health and condition!
My YT eggs are 97 days in and counting.
Fluctuating incubation temps will probably have them hatching out late July.

Good luck!

I hope they all hatch out quickly, form a line, and sit there with their mouths agape waiting for you to drop an unscented f/t pinky into them.

My suspicion is that they wont be quite that cooperative, but I'm sure you'll cope.

That's great to hear Dan! I hope they all come out feeding as well as the baby I got from you last year. If not, try scenting with the water from a tuna can...it's a little easier than getting feeder fish and my guy went nuts for it before he was taking unscented every time (even when he was deep in shed.)

i got home home from work and 5 are already out and about. of the 5, two are quite light. i'd like to see a few more of those. i didn't sex anything yet but will report on the ratio later....the bt eggs are only 4 days behind the uni's but as of now, i see no signs of them hatching anytime soon. yo bob! late july huh? haha! congrats yourself and good luck w/ it!

Dan,

I thought with the fluctuating temps the snakes would be over 100 days in hatching for sure!
I can't wait to see one pipping.
Thanks for your support!
Wanna get them feeding for me??? LOL

Bobby
