texasboa71 Jul 17, 2003 05:26 AM

What does everyone think about pet cremation? I had my boa cremated when she died about a month ago and now she since above my firplace. Just curious.

I always thought I would try if, god forbid, one of my boas die- casting them in acrylic. I used to work in a fiberglass factory and we had many molds, resins, and poly resins that could easily cast them in a permanent display case. I dont know how the resin would effect the boas skin until it cured, but i'm sure it wouldn't do much since the way it cures is by heating itself. -sTEVE

That would be pretty interesting...

I probably wouldn't think about it. I'm attached to what my snakes mean to me alive (entertaining, relaxing, almost companion-like) as opposed to what my snake is dead (a few pounds of rotting flesh). A picture of me and my snake would mean more to me than an urn of his incinerated dead body. Besides, I like to bury my snakes.
