Coccidia??? What to do???

jjsreps Aug 13, 2005 08:38 PM

How much of a problem is this in a breeding female?I won an auction for 2yr female and then was told after the fact that she'd been treated for this & may still have it.I'm thinking about backing out since she was listed as healthy but don't want neg feedback.Any advice please? Thanks! Jenna

That's a tricky one. Most dragons have low numbers of coccidia in their gut. If she was just treated she is probably ok, but she should be vet checked anyway. If the vet says she has high coccidia then you should get your money back.

I talked to the seller today & she told me it's been an on-going problem with this dragon. We agreed to terminate the sale so it all worked out ok. I'm going to be a lot more careful in the future though. Thanks!
