Vicious gecko

puffspluslotions Aug 13, 2005 10:44 PM

After years of handling my own pets as well as wild snakes without even being bitten I was surprised to have my streak ended by my "tame" male leopard gecko. He has always been a bit agressive but I thought it was an interesting occurence and even as I write this my finger continues to bleed. Sorry for wasting all your time just felt like sharing.

Well, you know what they say....

If it has a mouth it can bite....

Yep I swear I am the only person who has been bitten not once, but twice by leos at the Ohio reptile show. They bite like small sharks, and it does take a while for the bleeding to stop. Luckily my leos at home are a bunch of sweethearts.

lol, as I sit here typing I have a healing bite mark on my hand. None of my females bite, but a couple of my males just love to rip my fingers to shreds.
