hatchlings won't eat. any advice?

mooman2 Aug 14, 2005 03:27 PM

I have three hatchlings from my beardies first clutch (all other eggs perished in incubator mishap). They hatched on Wed night (almost five days ago). They seem active and are taking water from a dish, but have not eaten any baby crickets yet. The crickets are(1/4 - 1/3) inch, and seem size approriate. They were without a full spec bulb for the first three days. Basking temp is 92, cool side is at 80. Night time temp is 78. Any advice on other food items? I have offered shredded collard greens as well (I don't think they've eaten any as there is no feces yet.

Raise the basking temp, it's too cool for hatchlings. It needs to be 105-115. I wouldn't offer crickets bigger than the 1/4 inch.
