Black spots developing on Leos?

DavidKendrick Aug 14, 2005 05:50 PM

We have an Albino and Blizzard that are about the same age, that are developing black patches of color. I have seen pics of extreme paradox leo's and I was wondering if anyone had expreience with paradox leopards? I will take better pics as soon as the blizzard sheds. The albino has a black spot on his head, the Blizzard has a patch on the side of his neck, and on the back of his leg. They are not scars, or wounds, they are kept very clean, the skin just has black pigment. Any info or sugggestions would be great.
Thanks
David

Hi there.
Is the albino and patternless related? Siblings?

They are not scars or wounds, I have spent lots of time checking them out. Its acutaul black pigment, on the shin. The blizzard just shed and I will post new and better pics tonight.

Its nothing to be worried about, my blizzard has a black spot on his back too.

Both the albino and blizzard have these black spots, and every time they shed there seems to be more. The blizzard has the most noticable spots, it looks like black pigment, kinda like in paradox albinos.

My Blizzard has a few small spots like that, I chock it up to over pruduction of melanin, like liver spots on older people. I don't think it's anything harmful though, but keep an eye out.

The blizzard and the albino are both young, And seem to be healthy, I will keep an eye out though, and see if it gets worse, I thought they might be a paradox thing going on, as it just seems to be pigment, and no bumps, or anything. Thanks for the reply..
