static Jackson's

alanvines Jul 17, 2003 08:10 AM

My favorite female red Jackson's has been in the exact same spot for about a week now. She is huge gravid. She seems happy, according to her colours. She eats one or two crickets or moths each day, I assume she doesnt eat much 'cause she is close to birthing. I thought they paced the enclosure and were restless before delivering......Just a little worried. Hello Lele!

I've found that jacksons will stay in one spot more often than not when close to dropping their young. Egg layers (veileds for example) will pace the bottom of the cage because they are looking for a suitable egg laying spot.

Good luck on the baby jacksons.
