Is distilled water ok for RTF tadpoles??? TKS.

I personally only used spring water. You can get it for $1 a gallon at Krogers. I took the lid off each one and let them sit overnight open. I then treated all the water with the appropriate amounts of Reptisafe or Aquatize. I also change the water completely every other day. I was told all of this information from a local breeder and it has worked perfect for me so far. Two of the three tad poles have morphed into frogs and the third will probably today. It is great fun watching them change.
I raise all of my dart frog tadpoles in spring water with 1-2 drops of blackwater extract (found at an aquarium store). The blackwater extract helps soften the water and acts as a mild anti-fungal. I usually put a clump of java moss in each cup to give them something to nibble on and a place to hide. I feed HBH Frog and Tadpole bites, which is quickly becoming a new favorite tadpole food for a lot of people since it doesn't foul up the water and tadpoles come out of the water faster and larger.
