There are many articles to read regarding the care of kingsnakes. Kingsnake.com has articles to read too. I recommend that you read some of these articles or get a book from your local bookstore (Borders Books or Amazon.com, etc) on kingsnakes before you begin. That's how I got into Kings. Once you've read and UNDERSTAND the books, ask specific questions for more specific areas (husbandry, etc).
Melissa Kaplan has already written some good guides to follow:
You'll find her page here and other good pages from other experienced folks.... a wealth of knowledge.

1. The general care and maintenance of Common Kingsnakes
by David Perlowin
2. The general care and maintenance of Milk Snakes
by Robert Applegate
3. Corn Snakes The comprehensive Owner's Guide
by Kathy and Bill Love ( this book has a lot of info that can pretain to Kings)
These three books is all it takes to get started, then with a little practical experience you should have very little trouble.
