I'm a newbie and thinking of purchasing a Boa, I've attached head and tail pics of the one I'm thinking of getting. Would appreciate any comments as to whether its a BCI or BCC and whether its worthwhile getting this animal. Thanks!

Just thought I would put up some pix that show the body better
Hi,
It looks like it could be a wild caught BCC. (Guyana or Suriname) In one of the pictures it looks like it has some scares on its head. That is what makes me believe it is wild caught boa. If it is a wild caught boa I would only pay $100 to maybe $200 if I really wanted it. It does have some nice markings on it. If you do buy this boa take it to a reptile Vet and have it looked at and more than likely it should be dewormed.
If it is not a wild caught boa then I would only pay $250 to $300 for it.
Take care
Tom

Thanks, do you guys think $350 is too much to pay for this animal? Anything that you can see wrong with the snake itself?
Seemed ok when I handled it, pretty tame, no whistling noises, pretty firm.
Any advice would be valueble. thx.
Wait a minute, are we talking about the animal in the T-shirt or the snake?
Griz
Thanks for the input folks.
Dear Tom, the owner said that the boa has been in his possession for some 10 months now, its just under 5 feet at the moment and has a sometimes grumpy, sometimes sweet disposition. Dunno where he got it from though, he wont say.
As to the scars on the head, I dont think they are scars but the head does get "blotchy" just after he feeds. Kinda weird, do you have a similar experience? I've attached another pic of the head, would appreciate any further advice on it if u have.
Yah, my girlfriend is holding the snake and shes getting really attached to it if u ask me.
Can you get a top view picture of just the head? Here are some pictures of a wild caught Guyana that has some head scars.
You can see them pretty good in this picture right between the eyes.
Take care
Tom
