question about fire-bellied toad tadpoles..

scarletintoblue Aug 15, 2005 01:16 AM

I have four oriental fire-bellied toads. I just discovered there was tadpoles in the water stuck in the divider under the plants in the terrarium. I'm wondering if i should keep the tadpoles seperated from the toads? and how soon will they need air and need to be removed from the water. Anyone know anything about breeding fire-bellied toads?
Thanks,
Anna

You should probably seperate the tadpoles from the adults. They sometimes can make a meal of their own offspring. When the tads start to slowly absorb their tails, then you need to give them some land access. They need very small live foods to start with.
