Scale-less ball python morph!

renoballpythons Aug 15, 2005 04:54 PM

I saw this on the faunaclassifieds. Can you believe this! Too bad I don't have 30K to throw down. What does not having scales do to the snake? Is it bad for it? Can it get sick easier?

Just wanted to know what people thought. Sorry if this is old news, first for me. Does this thing still shed with no scales?

I am sooooooooooooooooooo tired of hearing about this freakin' ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good for whoever has it, I hope they DON'T decide to breed it.

it would be a waste not to breed it! i would breed it with a honeybee or a lucy, or even better a blood or short tail

No one is really sure if it's genetic - the guy who owns it claims he has the mother and she is also Derma but he has never produced any pictures so it's all speculation at this point - he'll breed it next year and well find out if it's genetic or an accident - seems like scaless snakes from other species tend to be genetic - so we'll see. As far as a belly shot there are some posted on this board do a forum search for "Derma" and you'll see them and find out all everyone else really knows about it.

You should read the ad again - the derma ball is not for sale - it is the siblings (Hets?) that he is selling. Do a forum search for Derma Ball and you'll get everyones opinion on this thing.
