oldskool28 Aug 15, 2005 10:57 PM

I think eventually Reduced Patterns will make Stunning Pastels when a genetic line is discovered. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated , thanks

They are awsome looking....I have already proved out 2 lines of reduced patterns one of them which we have produced a super form...im sure alot of people have seen pictures of our tigers and super tigers on this forum, i used to post them alot....this will be our 3rd year producing a genetic super form of our tigers....a few big breeders have bought our bloodline so we feel we are oin a good track with it....

Nice animals again......

There are a couple "proven" genetic reduced lines out there. Some of us are working on improving them through selective breeding. The tough part of marketing them is the fact the babies are subtle in their appearance until they get older. Then you get varying degrees of appearance. I made the mistake of selling some to a friend and now I want them back

So many are keeping back and working on refining the appearance. Ghosts and pastels should look very nice with GRP bred into them.

2001 I bred reduced pattern female to a normal patterned male and produced 3 nice looking babies, however no reduced patterns like mom.

2002 I bred the same pair again and produced 5 more babies…none that resemble the reduced pattern mother again?

2005 I bred reduced pattern female back to 02 “het” sons and produced 8 babies. 4 Reduced Patterns and 4 normal "hets".

2005 I also bred brother and sister “hets” and produced 5 hatchlings. Hatched 2 Reduced Patterns and 3 normal "hets".

2005 Waiting on two more "het" x "het" clutches to see the results.

I have decided to label this particular lineage to prevent any confusion with others. “MUDSLIDES” AKA genetic reduced patterns.

Very nice. Similar results to my breedings. Of course Brian Potter has my babies and won't give them back, LOL! He better make a nice GRPxspider....
