I'm new to breeding balls, but i think i'm going
in the right direction. My snake laid eggs so I went and
bought a incubator. What does everyone think of this set up.
(I hope this works. also first time posting pics)

then inside the deli containeri have the temp probe, and
closed the lid again. Everything is sealed again, and
maintaining tempe between 89 to 90 degrees

I used the same setup for a majority of my eggs this year... I would definitely go purchase a cheap A-Life (or any brand) thermostat for backup. If your wafer fails in the Hovabator, your backup thermostat will turn off the power until you re-adjust your incubator. I believe they are around $26.95.

Is it common for the wafer to fail???

If so do they sell replacement wafers seperate?
My pet store only had like 5 incubators and i didn't see any replacement parts.

I dont know that wafers fail all that much, but better safe than sorry. I used a hovabator for 3 years without any failing. I then added a back-up thermostat this year, and I did notice one time that it turned off the power. For a low-end incubator it is a little back-up that made me feel a bit better.
