About 6 months ago I came across a captive bred juvenile (approx. 4') Irian Jaya Carpet Python that had a stripe running along each of his sides from his head to his tail. A trusted friend that works at the pet store called it a "Striped Carpet Python" and said that it was quite rare in the sense that it was a genetic stripe and not one caused by incubation temperatures. He called the reptile distributor and they said it was an Irian Jaya with a genetic stripe. I'm just curious if anyone knows how common these are, or if there's another name for them because I can't find any on kingsnake.com He started off tame but has gotten rather aggressive over the last few months and I'm looking to sell him to make room for other projects, but I haven't seen another one so I don't know what he is worth. Regular adult Irian Jaya Carpet Pythons sell for $250-$300 all the time so I figured one with a genetic stripe would be worth more, but how much? Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
