Does anyone else here keep Phyllomedusa hypochodrialis? I have 5 and they keep breeding, but no eggs yet. I'm not trying to breed them they just keep doing it. This has been going on for 2 weeks now. My one male think he is a stud, he is always calling at night.

Hey, I have 5 phyllomedusa hypochondrialis as well. I think I have 2.1.2, but I may have 4.1 As of now, mine are seperated in quarintine for their 3 months, but they should be out any time now. The frogs will go in and out of amplexus for a while, but you need to have plants with soft bendable leaves in there for them to lay their eggs on and wrap the leaf around them. Pothos is a good plant for that, maybe bird's nest fern as well. I'm going to be setting up a permanent enclosure for them to breed soon.

any tips of breeding them? I aint seeing anything happen, no calls being heard, i suspect i have 2.1, maybe i'm wrong...

I think that mine started breeding because I dropped their temperatures and sprayed them alot. They are in a room that gets hot in the day, but they are close to the air conditioner so they won't get too hot. I keep pothos and two water dishes in their tank and use moss bedding. No eggs yet but they have mated twice in the last 2 weeks.
