Hi...
Just wondering what the clown and het clown market is? Have not seen any for sale in a while.
Thanks,
James

There is a good clown market - tho you don't see a lot of them for sale in the classifieds - if you check some the breeders web sites you'll see that they are getting sold. I think there still aren't alot of people working with them - I don't know why not everyone seems to love them?!?!? Maybe that will change now that there are some nice mixes - circus ball is my favorite morph this year!

We have not produced enough of them for what people want. Het females are in hugh demand as well as male & female clowns. If I had five more clutches they would all be sold. Not enough to go around for all those who want them.

The wisest breeders still produce Clown morphs. The newbie breeders mostly produce codoms. I've even seen some breeder availability lists that include five or six different codom morphs and no simple recessives. Right now it's all about the money. Everyone is racing to become a millionaire. The codoms offer the best chance at immediate cash. One day everyone will come back to the simple recessives.

Let's see I have clown hets - hope to produce some clowns in the near future and some clown mixes - I've also got a couple of codoms and several recessives - hmmmm what does that make me? Probably not a milliionaire anytime soon.

LOL - actually we fondly refer to our collection as the poor mans ball morph collection.

I think what you mean to say that you haven't seen many advertised in KS classifieds. I think one reason for that is that the people who produce them can sell them just fine without having to pay Jeffs advertising fee.
