Suggestions?

As a few of you may already be aware, I recently lost a chameleon, and I'm currently in the process of cleaning out/sterilyzing the enclosure. And I'm considering whether or not I should go for another chameleon. Personaly I feel that another chameleon just wouldn't really feel the same (kinda grew attached to that chameleon), so what I'm considering is getting something different, the enclosure I have is 36.5x22x36, currently it's set up for a chameleon (lots of plants/branches, etc) though those can be removed with little problem, the tank can be redone completely with little problem. So basicaly what I'm looking for is something that will be able to take advantage of that height, but also something that is visualy pleasing (willing to get something less visualy appealing if it's good with handling though) and prefferably something that isn't going to be too high maintenance (as I've also got other animals to care for) while I have no problems feeding live insects, something vegitarian, or omnivorous would be more ideal (as the care giver of my animals for those rare times I'm away dislikes having to handle crickets, roaches, worms, etc). I'm not limiting myself to lizards, I'm also considering snakes, though I have yet to do any serious research into anything right now as I'm still just trying to get some idea of what I'm going to do. Although a snake would be a little more preffered. In the case of a snake, being able to handle it is important. Anyways, any advice/suggestions is appreciated, I may still decide to get another chameleon (as I love these lizards), but we'll see.

You said that you want something low maintenance, but you have already had a chameleon and they are one of the highest maitenance needing reptiles. If I were you, I would go for another Chameleon after the cleaning process is done. Maybe you could find a different chameleon species that you are interested in.

Or maybe pick up a few (A male and two females) of soem smaller friendly community living chameleons.

Good luck choosing.

Agreed, chameleons are high maintenance, but I'm willing to do it for such a fascinating animal (out of all reptiles, I deffinitely find chameleons the most interesting, and would be willing to put in that extra effort for them, but otherwise I wouldn't want to be getting an animal that I'm less fascinated with, and still end up with a high maintenance animal. Don't get me wrong, I love all reptiles, snakes and lizards, and I'd be willing to put in as much effort as physicaly possible for them, chameleons just seem to have that *special* something that fascinates me, and makes them rock just that much harder
