you think midland babies are small lol, my northern redbelly gave birth to 12 tiny babies not much longer then a inch.. 1 the mom was about 6 inches lol.. tiny snakes...midlands are small to though...
So what are you guys feeding all these little guys?
My babie Dekay's are taking small worms but it's so dry around here I am having trouble finding baby worms! Do they ever take bugs? What about black worms?
Well only one has eaten so far. I'll be trying again in about 15 minutes. What we did was cut a big worm in half, then cut it in half again (in to quarters) then hold it between a paper towel or napkin and cut it longways down the middle. Then cut very small peices off. The worms we use are about 5-6 inches long at the beginning.
my redbelly babies (female dropped 12, 8 alive. keeping 3 rest were released) are eating small slugs, just turn over logs and stuff early in the morning and oyu will find small slugs, feed them in a deli cup and they should eat the slugs, worked for me.
