PH of water for Bearded Dragons?

Johnenewt1 Aug 16, 2005 05:40 PM

Does anyone know what the PH of water should be, when given to bearded dragons for drinking? I've done a couple of PH tests for various water sources, but I'm not sure which one to use:

Brita filtered Tap Water: 6.0 (Acidic)
Poland Spring Bottled Water: 6.5 (Slightly Acidic)
Tap Water: 7.0 (Neutral)

Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

John

I just use regular tap water (cause it's safe to drink where I am from), and put drops in it. The drops I put in are Exo-Terra Calcimze, and Electrodize. My beardie never drinks the water though, he just sits in it sometimes. I think he gets most of his water through his veggies & fruits, but I put the dish in just in case.
