will a snake eat a cold f/t? like if you let it thaw overnight in the fridge or do you need to warm it up too? and like would the snake like it betta warm even if it ate it cold? lol i'd not like eating a cold hamburger

My two will not eat them if they are not warm. I usually just stick them in a ziplock baggie and thaw them in hot water until they are thawed and warm.

Mandi,

It's very important that you warm any previously frozen prey animal to at least room temperature. In fact, warmer than room temperature is better as it assists the snake in locating the food and is much easier on digestion. If you feed cold items to your snakes you're asking for trouble as it can drastically reduce the body temperature of your animals and in the extreme case, possibly result in death.

wow.. okay thank you. i've never fed or tried to feed cold mice.. someone told me just to de-thaw in fridge then feed them.. but i wasn't sure they would eat them cold. i'll be sure to keep them warm!
