Value is based on what someone will pay. There is no kelley blue book of monitors. If you are happy with him then thats all that matters. The purchase price will soon be out wieghed by the cost of keeping such a beast.

Take care

If I wanted the animal and liked it I would pay whatever I could afford or thought was fair. In your case it was not a crazy price tag to pay.

If your happy, then why worry?
I know someone who will have CBB ornate hatchlings for $150 or so someday.
25lbs are you sure?
Thats a very high estimate, a good friends 3.5ft female ornatus is about 6lbs. Even Sobek here in this picture is only 30lbs, shes also almost 6.5ft long.

Dang SHvar, what are you feeding that thing? Is your neighborhood running low on dogs and ponys? haha

Im sure she would love to get loose in the other cages in my reptile room.
Even the cat likes Sobek, hes not afraid of much though, I just dont want her to get defensive or offended by his playful attitude even though hes rapidly approaching her weight (about half way), and hes still a kitten, 10 months old, hes gonna be a huge cat!!
No, I dont allow them together without me being in between them, She would rather see him on the other side of her cages glass than up close anyways.
This was taken 3 lbs ago, hes gotten bigger already, these 2 visit each other like this.
