Legless Lizard?? But what kind??

accendolacerta Aug 17, 2005 08:48 AM

It's deffinately NOT a snake, that's for sure!! I think it's some sort of Skink, but I havn't been able to locate any pictures that look like him. I am in Waldmohr Germany and I found him in a shady dirt/grassy area next to bushy, grassy w/trees area.

He is tan/brown with a black stripe from head to tail on top. Dark/almost black on underside fadeing to very light tanish on underside of tail. On the sides of the entire body he's pinkish/tanish. He has NO LEGS and is very shiney. He's farely friendly for being wild, and prefers being held rather than set down. Hope the pictures help. I will be letting him gon inthe same spot I found him tonight after I show him to my room mates.

Thanx
