Hello Folks.......

mike_panic Aug 17, 2005 09:54 AM

After breeding Cornsnakes(and other colubrids) for the last ten years or so, I have finally decided to switch gears and breed something a little more challenging. I picked up some animals from Tom Burke and I would like to say a few words about him and his family. Tom and his family took quite a bit of time out of their busy schedules to talk to me and offer their advice. It wasnt about selling me animals, it was always about making sure I was comfortable in my decisions and making sure I made good, sound decisions. I was very nervous about spending some heavy money on animals I have never bred but they made me feel very good about it and I started off(day 1 as I call it)with confidence. Thanks so much Tom, Tom Jr. and Amanda for all of your help. Perhaps some of you guys were into Corns(or are into corns) and know me from there. I will be looking forward to learning from you in this arena. Here are a few of the animals I picked up from Tom and more will follow as they shed out. I know this goes without saying but they are all beautiful, top notch animals. Thanks a million Tom

one more of Edith. BTW, having 100 to 200 corns at any given time made it impossible to name them and only code numbers worked for my record keeping. Its a pleasure to be able to have real names for my "new" collection. I decided to name them after republican presidents and their first ladies. I'm sure I will not run out of names(I know I dont have the space, LOL) Thanks

and I will also add to your words. The Burkes are great people and really try to help others in the hobby. I have a pair of 66% het Bloods from them from last year, besides superb animals, their customer service is great.
I am frequently talking with Amanda through email and she is always helpful. Recently I called Tom, and he helped me out with plans to take my C.A. morph project further. I didn't know what I hould do, I had a few ideas but needed help decideing.

Colubrids? Man I'm sorry to hear that. Just kidding! Welcome to the gang.

Phil Goss

P.S. I'll admit, I owned a colubrid or two back in the day as well.
