question about a rack thats not yet built

crochuntermyhero Aug 17, 2005 10:30 AM

so i know this forum gets tons of posts about this kind of stuff so i'll make this quick. I want to try my hand at breeding snakes i've kept them for years but never tried breeding them. So i figured i should build a rack and start with some kingsnakes ( i hear they are a good beginner choice) so here lies my question. I found some sterlite containers that were 39 inches long and 16.5 ( i think) inches deep now this is enough space for adult kings correct? What other snakes could be put into a container this size and live comfortably is it big enough for ballpythons or dumeril boa's?

whats the max size of a snake you guys would put in the container that measures 39x16?

thanks much for your time!

Yes, even some of the larger specimens of Florida and Eastern Chain Kings would do fine in that sized tub.

I would keep Ball Pythons in a tub this size. Dumeril Boas, however, I would not. At least not breedable adults.

Nothing bigger than a large bullsnake or large ball python.
