It looks like the snake in your pictures is actually a Coastal or Jungle of some sort.
While striping does commonly occur in West Papuans (IJs), in my experience, it has only ever been a dorsal stripe, whether
zig-zagged or with a perfect straight stripe. I have never seen one with lateral striping. Lateral striping is quite common in Coastal types however.
Nonetheless, nice snake!

What has led you to believe that he is an IJ? Because, he looks like a coastal to me.

As far as the striping, I haven't seen any IJs with stripes like that, but I have seen coastals with stripes like that.

When I first purchased him from the local pet store I was talking to my friend who works there and we were discussing what type of python it actually was. Neither of us were completely sure so we called the reptile distributor it was brought up from and they told us it was a CB Irian Jaya Carpet Python with genetic striping. I'll go back to the pet store and try and figure this out though because he does look like a Coastal, but at the same time I trust the distributor I got him from.
