FF feeder tip...

lele Jul 17, 2003 11:39 AM

...for those of you with leaf chams or babies and you're feeding fruit flies here's a way that I found can be helpful - especially if housed in a large tank.

I place a slice of apple or strawberry on a wooden skewer and stick it in the substrate so that the fruit is at about a level the cham's usually feed. The ff tend to congregate and they are easily picked off. Here's a pic of a strawberry with Bart in the foreground

It goes without saying that you must replace the fruit often. I find apple to last the best and not mold (strawberry will) as the ff like it a bit "ripe!"
