Do any of you counteract potential parasites that your crickets may have being fed to your uros. Just a concern, one guy said he feeds his crickets medicated chicken feed to control problems with crickets. Any ideas. Thanks

I don't, I just make sure I house them in clean quaters at my place, I make sure where I get them has clean quarters and where they get them from.

i've read about the types of pathogenes crickets have. scary.
i've also tried a parrot - chicken feed to gut load the crickets but it's over kill. keeping your cricket bin clean and feeding them good things is really all you can do. medicated chicken feed? what would that do to the natural "bugs" most of the uro's have? hmmm...
Marcia from GoldenGateGeckos can help. she's done extensive study in this area and would be glad to help but has't done anything in the field of gut loads. we just do carrots and oranges on one side and oats mixed with gold fish flakes and from time to time add an mrp to the mix.
