goregrind Aug 17, 2005 04:38 PM

ive always loved iguanas and have had family members who had them.
and recently have been thinking about getting one.
ive looked up caresheets to see some basic info to see if they were a good pet for me but the only ones i found are like a hundred pages long
can anyone give me a link to a basic caresheet i can read so i can decide if i want to buy a book
also where should i buy one if i do get one?

www.anapsid.org
melissa kaplan knows what she is talking about

when you are done with that read: The green iguana manual and Iguanas for dummies. Cover to cover on all. After that, i would say if you can provide all the things that the books and website say, i would say that you are ready for an ig!

Once you are ready for the iguana, don't 'buy' one. Rescues are filled with iguanas, some of the already socialized, needing good homes.

Yes. A site I belong to has "one-stop-shopping" for giant green iguana care. It is www.iguana-zone.com . It has a section specifically on iguana care. Feel free to browse the sections and read the posts. I am on that site as ig_daddy.
