What should the humidity usually be?

The humidity in the tank should be quite low. Normally, the humidity of the room is fine for the tank, but we have a dehumidifyer in the leo room because it is in the cellar where humidity builds up fast. If the leos are in a well ventilated room, there should be no problem.
