I just got a Amazon Milk Frog it very active for first week. eating every time put food in and moveing a lot. now two week later it stays hidien in same spot and does come out when put food in is this bad thing. i Think it migh be temp cage it abot 2-3 degrees cooler then should be and cant any higher with out going way over max temp by 5-10 degrees could this be it. or is just starting settle in. he stay on cooler side tank so i dont heat issue i just wanted to know and could find info how they normaly behave. the care sheet i got does tell much just set up what eat. if it is the temp how could raise just few like five degrees or so. i already have under ground tank heater. and light on top make way to hot. so it so long i just worried abou t him or her.

i am not familiar with milk frogs, but i think it is very normal behavior for him to finds a spot that he likes and sit there a long while. for example, some of my whites have their spots that they like to sit out in the open, while others are more shy and find more hidden spots.
you also have to take into consideration the fact that frogs are nocturnal; mostly active at night, and sleep all day long. this conflicts with our desires as a day-time pet owner who wants to see our frog up and about when we are. sorry to say too bad, but thats how it is. good luck with him, and i hope to see some pictures!

Be sure to keep the humidity up, too. They do well with about 70-80% humidity. Also, unless you are located in a really cold area, I dont think an external heat source is neccesary. If you can keep the temperature of your home around 75-77 degrees, you are fine. Good Luck.
