HELP WITH FEEDING!

limeinmyyogurt Aug 17, 2005 08:04 PM

MY 2 month old Chondra was feed common geckos when it was hatched just like the rest of the clutch. Now the problem is I can't get feeder geckos anywhere and he wont eat anything else.I've tempted him/her with other lizards(longtails, anoles) but he is so picky that he only eats geckos. What can I do to ween him off of geckos and onto mice. But more importantly what do I do about his feeding habits now,it's been almost three weeks since his last feeding.I'm plum out of ideas.
PLEASE HELP

Well I think zoomed or trex or one of those cos. have lizard scent you just put it on the mouse and then switch as soon as possible to unscented

Try wrapping a gecko shed around a mouse.

Julian had a good idea, as well as just rubbing a live gecko against the mouse (scenting) *might* work.
How have you tried offering the mice? (what size?)
Have you tried a live mouse fuzzie? A brained (dead of course) one? When are you offering food (nighttime or midle of day?)
How many days are you putting between when you offer diff items?
There are lots of tricks for stubborn feeders, more info on what you have tried and how would help.
Good luck!
