Today was perfect...overcast and still. I love it when there is no wind here because it is easy to hear the snakes moving in the brush. The first one is the usual color that I see here (fairly dark). The second (third pic) was so dark that I remembered some people talking about darkness and elevation in previous posts.
I don't know my exact elevation because my GPS has not arrived yet, but I was near 1000 feet and a mile from the coast. Unfortunately the dark one was not interested in having its picture taken, but hopefully the color comes out anyway.
