About to get a pair of Ball Pythons, few ???'s.........

Blecha May 17, 2003 08:06 PM

Hey all,

I'm about to get a pair of Ball Pythons and had a few ???'s. Would it be ok to keep the pair together in a 30 gallon breeder tank (36"x18" of floor space) or better to keep them in seperate 10 gallon tanks (10"x20" of floor space)? I know I'd have to feed them seperately, but would this be ok until later on? My eventual goal is to breed them, but I'd like to house them together until they reach sexual maturity, would this be acceptable? Also, when they do get bigger, what size of tank would you reccomend? Thanks for any response.

Hey Joe:
All things being equal, it's better to house them in separate cages, to monitor stools, avoid fights over food, etc.
