Red-eared slider and two-lined salamander

StinaUIUC Jul 17, 2003 12:58 PM

Does anyone know anything about the NJ laws pertaining to these two species? Is catching two-lined salamanders illegal? Is a permit required to keep these species? Any responses will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It is illegal in NJ to take any reptiles from the wild, if I recall correctly. Turtles cannot be bought/sold in the state of NJ but can be purchased in other states. Check out the herp society webpage for links to info about NJ reptile laws.
