help with Vision and RHP

sneihaus Aug 18, 2005 03:58 PM

I just set up my vision 322 with RHP- but because of the ridges that come down from the top of the cage, the RHP doesn't rest flat on the top. Where this meets the lip of the cage, it creates a space for a small snake to get on top of the RHP.

My question is what I can use to block off this space (in the lip and alongside the RHP)? It will have to contact the RHP, so I want to make sure it can't give off any harmful fumes.

I'd contact pro-products, but they're out of their office for the week for the Daytona show.

I'm sorry if my description is confusing, I'll try to post a pic later.

Thanks,

Steve

Ahh yes, been there with this one.

The top of the RHP doesn't get hot, so you don't have to be too selective in material.

You can fill the gaps with sticky-back tape and thin wood molding pieces. The 3/16 thk x 3/4 wide molding works well. The RHP may not sit flush with the top exactly but there are no gaps large enough for a snake to stick its head in anymore. You can use plastic, wood, styrene foam insulation, etc.
