Yes it IS! I have a 03' that is currently over 4 foot long (he was around 4 foot already earlier this year). As long as you cool it off for at least 4 weeks during the second year and it's at least 36" (preferrably 40"
long and healthy, then it would be possible. . .Most (people) like to wait til' the third year, especially with females being the slower to mature in most cases. Hope this helps (your decision). . . Here is a pic of my future S.Ga. giant:

Absolutely. I have bred many easterns, male and female at 18 months. In fact most of my GA easterns doubled clutched that first year breeding. They should be around 40" and solidly muscled, but not fat. Good luck.
