I HAVE A ROUGH NECK

wow he is beautyful, he needs to shed for the colors to really come out but he is amazing, i couldn't be happier. i took him to the beach with me right after i got him (brought a misting botle to clean/humidify him), me and some friends went to a more secluded rocky part and he had a ball. he was exploring everything and then he got off the rocks and walked closer to the water his reaction to it was great (the pictures will tell), he took off swiming almost right away. i was actually surprised that the leash was barely necessary, i thought he would dart off or something, absolutely amazing animal. then he passed out on my arm so i brought him back home and he is sleeping in the corner as i type. i know i promised pictures, but apparently they are too big to put on kingsnake, so when i learn to reduce the quality (hopefully soon), you guys will get a ton of pics.

Refresh my memory--are we talking about a dog or a monitor?

please tell me you arent serious? you dont need a monitor, you need a dog, i hope you had fun with your monitor as you will not have it very long.

However I think they would even agree you should get to know the monitor first. He is new to you and you to him. You could of really stressed himout by taking him out as you did. Not to mention the factor that he could of decided to get away from you. Leash or no leash things could happen.

I hope you mean the corner of his cage and not your room. if left to roam do not expect him to live long. Houses are not designed to offer them anything they need. But hopefully you meant a cage and he is getting what he needs.

Please do some research and remember to be a responsable pet owner.

ok guys, sorry my bad. but don't worry i'm learning. i thought he would enjoy being outside instead of a cage and it was a warm day. i didn't expect him to swim, i was just following him as he walked on the sand and then a stronger wave i guess came up to him and he took it and swam for a little bit (in like half a foot deep water).
